MU. Character for Nothingness, Emptiness, Void--Above. 1986. Brushed by same young Buddhist monk in 1986. Again note the uninterrupted sense of motion and fluidity of brush. Despite the negative connotations of this term in English, the term in Japan and China has glorious overtones, for it represents the principle of “going back to one’s nature,” of forgetting the forms of the material world, of finding enlightenment by discarding the mundane world and all its concepts. Be nothing, and become everything ! This was brushed by young Buddhist monk at Renge-ou-in (Rengeō-in) 蓮華王院, more popularly known as Sanjusangendo (Sanjūsangendō) 三十三間堂, one of the most impressive of all Buddhist temples in Kyoto. The temple houses the Kannon of 1000 hands and is said to contain 33,333 of her images. The fluid sweeping brush strokes invoke a sense of vitality and spontaneity. When watching him brush this character, it seemed as though his hand and arm were dancing rather than writing.

Desires of our five senses
Arises
Alike the waves of vase ocean
Alike the clouds on the vast sky

We will never satisfied
Chasing
One desire to another one

We turn to excitement soon we gain it
We turn to insanity soon we lost it

Desires
Come and go
Arise and vanish

Yet we don’t realize
Nothing is actually existence
Desires merely the illusion creation of our minds
We paint this illusory world as we wish
We cry for sensual pleasure as ultimate happiness
We hunger for sensual love as true love
We crave to vivid beauty objects as permanence existence

Our five senses
Our enless desires
Like the waves
Shake us to endless sufferings
Sufferings of hope and fear

As we don’t realize
The external world
Our unborn natural mind
Like the vase sea
Like the vase sky
As is it
Has no true existence as emptiness

Insanity

Like a wild fire

Burning the heart, nerve, skin, blood of you

Angers and fears spread all over your mind

This fire of insanity

Swallow all your senses and conscience

Revenge and attack actions is your best weapon

Weapon to silence others

Your craving for power

Blind your eyes

Make you a deaf person

Make you speak like an insane human

Make you as cruel as a tyranny

Donot you know?

The main enemy of you is yourself?

Your fears

Your insanity

Only led you to another destiny….

Destiny of ending of your power hegemony and tyranny

Your insanity

Only serve for your own political death sentence

Don’t you realise

All tyranny will end

Due to their own insanity

Due to their power craving

Don’t blame others

You are the one creating people uprising!

As we are not in the insanity mind of power craving

Sisters, the love you deserve most will come from within yourself

Someone asked me:
“how to practice non attachment love? Especially to those you love the most??”

Indeed I have no good answer for this question
Especially for women who had been endured the deep suffering due to the lost of their lost one

For many women, their love one who dear to them is their partner of life.
Especially those who had make so much effort in making their relationship and family life as their main dream and world.

Home and family is the only world in their life.
From the moment she open and close her eyes everyday
She will think about her partner, children and also home.

Even they do have to work as others, working outside home to earn income back to the family members.

Imagine, when the relationship and family is breaking away…

She lost the whole world

She feel being abandoned and rejected…..

I think I indeed not in any position to say about: “how to practice the non attachment love to your love one”

It is too painful to say this and hear this….

The only I wish to say:
“ maybe the new door will open for you, when you are able to let go the old one.the universe will plan for you.”

Dear sisters, I wish that you will be able to live life ahead with putting more love to nurture yourself.

To recognize that you are someone worth to be care, love and respect. You can nurture your inner soul with care and love. Indeed no one will be able to love us, if we are not able to invest love to ourselves.”

We are living in a society that is ruled by patriarchy value

Don’t let this logic rule your whole life……

>What is love?

Love in a micro level of between friendships, lover, spouses
Love in a macro level – the expression of love towards the causes of society
Love in unlimited/borderless/impartial- the expression of love that has no self, has no hope for return, as it is expression of love that with no expectation, no attachment, no fears and sufferings

One of my Buddhist teacher taught in his teaching,:
“if love is base on desires of need and attraction, it is a selfish love,. In real you love yourselves above others.
:If love is base on care, concern and respect – you will put others above you,”

So when someone asked me:
“Buddha Shakyamuni was selfish, he left his wife and son. He was not a responsible man and husband.”

Buddha had left his wealth, fame, power and beloved one to search the ultimate truth.
He live his life like a traveler and nomad , no any security in wealth,home and comfort.
He walked across so many darkness forest, mountains and kept himself in solitude, silence on search of truth

Why he had to do so?
If he was not truly serious and felt truly affectionate on scene he had witness outside his wonderful palace. He saw the poor, sick, old age and death.
If these had not truly touched his soft heat, will he left his wealth power and love one?
If he attach to his power, desires, wealth, fame and name. He will stay in palace continue to live in luxurious life and chasing/cling to his endless desires on this world.

If Buddha was cruel heartless man.
He will not return to his wife to bring her the most precious love of him to her again
It is the gift of dharma that he gave her
She was deeply suffered as any sentient beings – attachments
Buddha brought her into the path that she can find the inner liberation of her soul and mind
She no need a man or husband to cheer her r and make her feel as dignity human

In an ancient feudal society, a woman has no value, unless to be love by man.
This gift of self-dignity is never ever able given to her by a merely conventional love between a man and woman.
Especially love that expect to possess another person and wants/expectation.
For women living in a feudal patriarchal system
The best liberation is not to marry a man or find a wealthy man secure their life

It is the equal dignity that they are looking for
The love that respect, care and concern them as another equal human being
The love that can lead them to inner liberation from roots of sufferings.

This is not an old ancient story between Buddha and his wife
It is still remain true till today
When we witness the sufferings of women enduring in a modern look societym yet still rule by the patriarchal logic
You will wonder that what love means in this modern society?

Rainbow like existence

All happenings surrounding us
All senses activate our desires, attachments
All thoughts, speeches and actions

All alike the rainbow
So beautiful
So real
So attracting

Our thoughts and senses
It seems to be so real
It seems to be so unchangeable
It seems to be so vivid existence

Alike rainbow
In the next second
It will be vanish
As it has no trace of where it come and go

Malaysian deserve to live in a fearless, free and clean nation

Today is a darkness day
The sky is colored by thick black cloud

Can we see any sun shine here?

Those sunshine lights are eliminated by darkness
The darkness of violence
The darkness of injustice
The darkness of thrust for power

Malaysia
Our beloved motherland

This land shall be blessed with brightness

My dearest friends and people in this land
How long we have to be kept in such darkness?

How long we can tolerate it?

Remembering those patriots of this land had fought for this motherland..

Remembering those who are being throw into prison being accused unjustly…

We shall not be silence
We , Malaysian deserve to live in a fearless, free and clean nation
