There is an old says : “the history is always”owned” and “wriiten” by the winner ,who owned the political power”.
It is so true if we investigate on most of the official historical text book that is writen by those in power and state version.
In most of the Asian text book, some countries highligthed the cruelty of the Japanese facisist miliarity invasion in Asia. Some countries tried not to explain much about the historical past.
For the Japanese, the issues of world war 2 history as well is another highly sensitive and controvesial one. There are many efforts outside of the Japan, people movement who wanted the Japanese history text book to be rewrite and also demanded the aplogy .
In the sametime, we can also see there are efforts that are initiated by the Japanese groups, either the anti war groups or another progressive political forces from the civil society who aganist the empror system and also had been instrumental in the war
of the past.
As far back in the year 1900, there were rising of the soialist -anarchist movement against the emperor system in Japan. One of the famous event in the history was “The High Treason Incident 1910 “
This incident was led by the socialist-anarchist plot to assassinate the Japanese Emperor Meiji in 1910. Eventually lead to the mass arrest and execution of the 12 alleged conspirators in 1911.
If we investigate carefully, we will realise that this internal struggle against the emperor system was the hard effort of the peace loving Japanese who disagred with the harmful ambitious of the Japanese emperor and its system who promoted war, agreesion and invansion outside of Japan.

The High Treason Incident, also known as the Kotoku Incident, was a socialist-anarchist plot to assassinate the Japanese Emperor Meiji in 1910, leading to a mass arrest of leftists, and the execution of 12 alleged conspirators in 1911.
To commemorate the people’s struggle against the Emperor in the early 20th century, this calendar highlights the key figures of the High Treason Incident and international campaigns of prison solidarity for the victims. You will see valuable pictures of activists in the early socialist movements in Japan with English thumbnail for each month.
